Applied AI

Work shaped by real needs, from finding trusted sales answers to exploring AI with a child at home.

Sales Knowledge Assistant

ShieldPoint · Deployed MVP · Demo offline

I deployed a chatbot that answered questions from synthetic sales documents and cited its sources.

The question
Could a new salesperson find an answer and check where it came from?
What changed
Slow responses in earlier conversation experiments led me to focus on a simpler text assistant. I took the demo offline after testing because of running costs.

A family beneath the sea

A family of five begins its story beneath the sea.

Interactive AI Storybook

Storytime · Family project

I turned my seven-year-old daughter’s ideas into an interactive storybook to explore thoughtful AI use at home.

Why I built it
I wanted to give her another way to express herself and a reason for us to question what AI creates. The experience also informs my AI for Families community.
02 / Exploration

Experiments

Interactive prototypes that let me test ideas, learn by building, and explore new directions.

3D Lamp Customiser

Lamdio · Interactive prototype

I built a customiser for trying lamp shapes and saving design settings.

Why I built it
It lets people explore a design without first learning 3D modelling.
Where it stands
Print-ready file export still needs testing.

Choose · care · watch

A little world that keeps changing.

Interactive Fish Tank

Screen Fish Saver · Interactive experiment

I built a browser aquarium where people choose fish and décor, then care for a tank that changes over time.

Why I built it
I wanted to bring back the calming desktop aquarium, with a tank people could make their own.
How it works
Fish move independently, tank conditions respond to care, and the setup is saved in the visitor’s browser.

Agents

I’m testing how persistent agents handle real work: what they notice, what they can carry through, and where my judgement still matters.

01

Grok Bot

I’ve deployed Grok Bot as a persistent AI teammate and am testing how it plans and completes tasks on a cloud computer.

02

OpenAI dots

My dot surfaced a billing email on its own. I asked it to investigate, and it stopped my remaining Railway deployments — a practical test of proactive help with running costs.

Hermes

My Hermes agent, Tomo, helped me build a sales training assistant grounded in synthetic product documents while I was away from my Mac Mini. That work sharpened my focus on retrieval quality, citations, and knowing when the assistant should say “I don’t know.”

AI for Families

As a parent, I keep returning to one question: how can children use AI with curiosity and judgement? I’m building AI for Families around that question.
